The First Steps

The first steps in raising strawberries begins in April when the new berries are planted for the next year. Strawberries are not ready for harvest until the following June. During this first year we pick the blossoms from them so the plants do not make fruit and grow more vigorously. We plant new berries every year and destroy our older ones to try and have the best crop possible.
