Rowe's Produce Farm ~ U-Pick

Organic Farming

We do NOT practice Organic Farming and we use commercial fertilizers in our crop production.

Pesticides

At Rowes we practice Integrated Pest Management(IPM). Which allows us to use as little pesticides as possible and still maintain a high quality product. Long time customers have commented that some of our fields are not as clean (weed free) as in the past. This is a direct effect of using IPM and less pesticides as we do not try to eradicate the pests we simply try to get them to acceptable levels. Many customers have expressed concern about pesticides during harvest. Every pesticide has a federally mandated pre-harvest interval which we adhere to emphatically so that our strawberries can be eaten right off the plants without washing.

GMO's

The only GMO crop that we grow is sweet corn, this allows us to use very little pesticides.
